Promised – Romans 4:1-25

What could leave you in stunned silence before God? This week we see from Romans 3:1-21 how our sin leaves all of us utterly silenced before God and in desperate need of his righteousness now revealed in the gospel.

Hypocritical – Romans 2:1-29

Everyone needs the gospel. Even ‘good’ religious people. This week we see from Romans 2:1-29 how we need the gospel because God’s wrath is being stored up against unrepentant hypocrites who show contempt for his kindness.

Unashamed – Romans 1:8-17

What do you long for? This week we see from Romans 1:8-17 how because the gospel is the power of God that brings salvation to all who believe Paul longs to proclaim the gospel in Rome?

Called – Romans 1:1-7

What is God’s call on your life? It’s actually pretty simple. Through the good news of Jesus God calls you to the obedience of faith. What’s that? This week we see from Romans 1:1-7 how Paul greets the Romans with God’s good news of the risen Jesus, calling all people (you and I included!) to the obedience of faith.

What Child is This? – Isaiah 9:1-7

What Child is This? It’s not just a carol we sing, it’s a question we should ask at Christmas. What child is this lying in the manger? What makes him worth celebrating? This week we see from Isaiah 9:1-7 that we should come and worship Jesus, the child in the manger, who is God Himself come to restore His people and establish His perfect kingdom forever.

Sometimes we think of prayer like eating our veggies. We know it’s good for us, but we don’t want to. But what if prayer is meant to be something we can enjoy? This week we finish our series on prayer by seeing from Psalm 34 that Prayer is a gift from God for us to experience and delight in His goodness even as He delights in our prayers through Jesus.

Groaning to our Gracious God – Psalm 77

God wants you to complain to Him. Sounds weird, but it’s true! In our grief, hurt, anger, sorrow and suffering God invites us to cry out to Him. To lament.
